Has anybody here encountered the same questions/problems and can give me a hint how to solve this?įrom: On Behalf Of Klaus Sent: 7. What it may make even a little more complicated: I'm not using a generic connection to the TS-950SDX via a COM Port.To be able to have multiple softwares access the rig simultaneously via CAT (an SDR program monitoring IF out and a logging software), I'm using OmniRig that does the basic communication with the TRX. So after a long explanation, here my question: Is there a way to edit or manipulate the commands being sent from WSJT-X to the radio, to turn on DATA mode after sending the USB mode command. So I guess whenever WSJT-X is going on air, it's not only sending the TX command, before it also initializes the USB mode - turning DATA off. As soon as the Rig goes to TX, it's switches back to USB mode without data. It's an extra CAT command being sent to the TRX: DT1 - DATA mode on DT0 - DATA mode off But I'm not able to use it with FT, even when turning it on manually after starting and connecting WSJT-X. Spoken in CAT terms the DATA mode(s) is not an additional mode as i.e. The DATA mode means nothing more, than turning off the microphone audio and just using the signals coming from the USB interface - perfect for FT8. In FSK mode it's turend on automatically. The TS-950 here is a more advanced rig and has a so called DATA mode, that can be switched on for every mode (SSB/FM/AM). To avoid disturbance from noise/audio from the microphone, I integrated a little switch in 850 that turns off the mic audio. When working FT8 in USB SSB mode, both rigs are using the audio coming from the computer/USB interface connected to the ACC2 plug AND from an eventually connected front mic. The CAT interface is a MicroHam USB interface III and I'm running the 64 bit version of WSJT-X under Windows 8.1 64 bit. Hi group members, I recently changed my rig from a Kenwood TS-850S to TS-950SDX.
